Izzy Thomas mainly works at the drawing table in her room, and finds that sterile looking environments is where she can feel most productive and creative. Her space is decorated in a calculated manner, where there is designated space for chaos. She decorates with single pieces from collectables; a collection of collectables, and prints from artists she admires like Juliana Horner, Ines Longevial, Anna Degnbol, and Laura Callaghan. Thomas takes photos of limited edition and ornate food items, over the top fashion items, micro celebrities, product packaging, and weird alien-like plants. Cities are where she can find most of her inspiration, as this is where one can witness a microcosm of a certain place's culture, this is visually a big inspiration for Thomas. When she is not making art, Thomas can be found spending time with her friends. Most of Thomas' friends are not in the arts, as she feels that being an artist has made her overly preoccupied with her preferred taste and aesthetic, and she enjoys a variety of perspectives that are not visually motivated.
